Just noticed this happening across the street from the dinner I’m eating at:

Looks like it’s going on for the next several hours. I’m gonna take a stroll through it after I’m done eating.

My friend Spencer is there with a black 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix. It looks nice!

Are you going to be the only new GTO in the show again?

What do they have against Oldsmobile? The Marquardt show is next Sunday for the Chicago area folks.

Good question. I was gonna say “because they don’t sell Oldsmobiles there” but then, they have plenty of Pontiacs there and, well... Conspiracy!

The fuck is a Dee-Jay? Sounds like the type of show that only has middle aged men stuck “back in their day.”

Since it’s the 27th Annual, and it’s sponsored by Sellers Buick GMC, I assume that Sellers used to also be a Pontiac dealer. Just like the “red” dealers that Canada used to have.

Correct on all accounts! The median age had to be 60 & no song played was less than 30 years old.
But, whatever. I’ve made my peace with the stigma of car shows. It was nice of people to put on a show, since it wasn’t like I was getting around to it...
Let ‘em have their Del Shannon & stuffed tigers. Its nice to see classic cars outside insted of jam-packed in a dark museum.
They had a Burt Renolds spec Trans Am there if it helps...

Prior to Pontiac being cancelled, it was part of the same group as Buick and GMC within GM and they were moving toward combined Buick-Pontiac-GMC dealerships.
